Introducing The National Bogey Jar Scramble
The National Bogey Jar Scramble series is a direct descendant of the iconic Oldsmobile/Buick Scrambles, America’s largest and most beloved Amateur golf tournament that captivated the interest of golfers for over 20 years.
What players can expect:
Same familiar Scramble format
Identical number of rounds played to qualify for the Championship (2)
Same team rules and handicaps (View the full rules and regulations)
Addition of a club’s PGA pro (the 5th team participant) in the Sectional and National rounds.
The first full-fledge National Bogey Jar Scramble Open is in November 2025 in Orlando, FL at the Reunion Resort and Golf Club. Participants will have the chance to win substantial prizes, earn lifetime bragging rights, and enjoy some of the most memorable golf experiences of their lives. Plus, the winning team and their club will be immortalized in a 2025 episode of Tales from the Links!
Prior to the inaugural Open in November 2025, Bogey Men will host two major Invitationals, recruiting championship teams from clubs, courses, and tours throughout the country to compete for cash, incredible prizes and world-renown bragging rights.
The first Invitational, in November 2024, will feature approximately 108 championship teams. The second Invitational, in May 2025, will be extended to another 144 championship caliber teams throughout the country.
The inaugural Championship Open takes place in November 2025, and invites any golfers wishing to form their own four-man team under the USGA handicap rules to compete. Note that handicap rules will be strictly enforced. Golf Genius and Blue Golf will be engaged to ensure everyone has a fair shot.
Bogey Men, LLC anticipates more than 780 clubs and courses from across the country will participate in the inaugural 2025 series, with The National Bogey Jar Scramble Open set to be the big-time tournament event for all the rest of us.
